If you want to see how a special lunch menu can really work go to Bucatini.  I must have eaten there over 100 times in the past four years and have never had a bad meal – they have all been excellent.  On Friday lunch time the place is packed.  Getting in to the restaurant is nothing compared to finding a parking spot.  $25 for two courses, BYO wine – which is a really good deal.  It’s a value for money proposition that I haven’t seen bettered anywhere recently.  And the best thing about is that if you pause and look around for a moment, you will see that everybody is enjoying the experience of being there.  It’s engaging and simply brilliant.
