My feeling at the moment is that it has been a good growing season on the Mornington Peninsula – so far.  We’ve had good rainfall, and the days are getting warmer, but crucially we’ve only had a couple of those hot, heavy, humid days that disease loves.  In my own little vineyard I’m seeing the occasional oil spot – indicating the presence of some downy mildew, but there is very little there.  I’ll hit that with some Agriphos to clear it up.

So all is looking good at the moment – keeping fingers crossed for a good season.
